Ambulance at Picnic !

Jan, Lahan. Normally, ambulances are used for carrying the sick to hospitals. But to everyone’s surprise, the staffs at a hospital here have taken an ambulance to a picnic.

The staff had gone on a picnic to welcome the New Year 2014 on Wednesdayo our surprise, staffs at Kamalamai Polyclinic based at Badaharamal VDC-3, Siraha, have made an ambulance (Sa 1 Cha 742) as a means of transportation to carry them to picnic site to celebrate the New Year Day though it were a emergency means of transportation to carry sick to the health centers and hospitals.

“I am surprised when I saw people coming for picnic on ambulance,” said Bhojraj Chauhan, one among the crowd in the picnic venue. “We had also gone with teachers and students but were surprised when we saw an ambulance parking throughout the day ignoring the services to be provided to people,” added Gautam.

Navin Jayswal, owner of the polyclinic, accepted that they had taken ambulance to carry picnic goods and staffs but did not pass the whole day in the picnic site. The ambulance went to transport staffs, health workers, and picnic goods, added Jayswal. It was later returned to the polyclinic, he said.

It is reported that most of the ambulances are being used for making money by individual although they have been imported by hospitals, clinics, and other organizations eventhough they were brought in customs duty waiver. RSS.
